  • Tuesday night, Daviess County Parks and Recreation hosted the Halloween Hullabaloo at Yellow Creek Park—ghosts and goblins gathered for its second year of festivities.  Owensboro Messenger-Inquirer

  • Illuminate, a new immersive art, light and multi-media festival, attracted 50,000 visitors from 20 states to downtown Owensboro from Oct. 3-5.  Owensboro Messenger-Inquirer

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • KYTC said additional time is needed to safely complete repairs on the Owensboro Bridge on U.S. 231, and the reopening is now set for Jan. 16 instead of earlier this month. Construction crews are working extended hours to replace a 750-foot section of steel decking—drivers should detour to the nearby U.S. 231 William H. Natcher Bridge.  The Owensboro Times

  • The new Twisted Tater food truck launched in Fordsville with a menu of loaded baked potatoes inspired by the McManaway family—each dish is named after one of their children. They will soon share their route as they plan to bring their southern twist to local neighborhoods.  WOMI Owensboro
