- ➤ WBKR is reviving its popular Gobbler Game contest with more rounds and bigger prizes, including tickets and a weekend stay at Holiday Inn in Panama City Beach. The contest will start Monday, November 8th and listeners can play by calling in during shows hosted by Chad & Mary-Katherine, Barb, and Dave Spencer + match numbered turkeys to win. WOMI Owensboro
- ➤ Owensboro’s First Baptist Church — located at 230 J.R. Miller Blvd. — is hosting a God and Country Service to honor veterans starting at 3 p.m. on Sunday. Owensboro Messenger-Inquirer
- ➤ On Thursday morning, the Daviess County Farm Bureau and Daviess County Cooperative Extension Service co-sponsored the Rooster Booster breakfast where President Brandon Gilles and Dr. Laura Stephenson highlighted a century of agricultural leadership & the impact of over 900 local farms. Gilles also acknowledged statewide honors for the Farm Bureau and commended outgoing Chamber of Commerce President Candance Castlen Brake for her advocacy. The Owensboro Times
- ➤ Daviess County Farm Bureau earned regional honors in the Health and Safety Awards and County Activities of Excellence Program as part of statewide Kentucky Farm Bureau programs. Its Family and Farm Agriculture Day featured tractor and grain-bin demonstrations—along with power-line safety and hands-on CPR and Stop-the-Bleed training—that emphasized farm safety and agricultural education in the community.
