On Saturday, a large crowd lined the streets to watch the Christmas parade in Owensboro—mild temperatures and clearing skies boosted the festive spirit, marking a joyful display of local community pride.

Crowds gathered for this year’s Owensboro-Daviess County Christmas Parade on Saturday—local school bands played festive music while the theme was Christmas time in the city.

Kentucky Wesleyan College will host its annual Festival of Lessons and Carols at St. Stephen Cathedral on December 4 and December 5 at 7 p.m.—the event will feature scripture readings, hymns, and performances by local musicians led by Choral Director Hadley Rouse.

Tickets cost $10 for general admission and $5 for seniors and students—available at the door, by phone, or online.

Owensboro Catholic High School dedicated 'Kamuf Way' on Nov 22 to honor the late Charlie Kamuf — a 1957 graduate whose support advanced Catholic education, and his family attended the ceremony in the school gym.
