Hundreds of local families visited KY 54 Walmart on Dec.
18 for Shop with a Cop (sponsored by the Fraternal Order of Police) where officers from multiple agencies helped check off Christmas wishes.
Close to 400 families visited the Salvation Army (215 Ewing Road) on Thursday to pick up donations through the Angel Tree campaign (a holiday support program) in Owensboro.
Charles Cobb donated $4.6 million to local colleges and nonprofit organizations to support education and community programs in Owensboro, and Larry O'Bryan said Cobb was remembered as a man who gave back without seeking the spotlight.
🎓 Education
Owensboro High School band teacher Aaron Klausing was named a semifinalist for the CMA Foundation’s Music Teachers of Excellence award — a mark of his skill and passion for music teaching.
