- ➤ A Memorial Day service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery at 1821 Leitchfield Road on May 24 at 10 a.m. with keynote speaker Victor Hollowell—who visited Civil War sites in all 120 counties—and a 21-gun salute by VFW Post 696. Daviess County
- ➤ Daviess Co. fiscal court officials say three spray parks—Yellow Creek Park, Panther Creek Park, and Horse Fork Creek Park—will open for the season on Friday, May 23 with hours from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and remain free for children of all ages until September 1. 14 News

- ➤ Owensboro Police Department is investigating a theft involving two suspects and is asking anyone with information to call Officer Lingris or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers — pictures of the suspects are available on OPD Facebook. 14 News
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Aviation Museum of Kentucky will hold a two-day aviation camp for youth ages 10 to 17 at the Owensboro-Daviess County Regional Airport on July 21-22, where students will fly in a Cessna 172 and participate in flight simulation activities and behind-the-scenes tours. The camp is limited to 36 participants at $299 each (scholarships are available) and will be led by licensed pilots to introduce aviation careers. The Owensboro Times
