- ➤ Owensboro Community & Technical College is hosting weekly Express Enrollment Tuesdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Aug. 4 at its main campus on New Hartford Road; students can walk in or call to schedule in-person, phone or virtual appointments to complete fall enrollment tasks. - ➤ New Master Gardener interns in Owensboro are paired with experienced volunteers to guide them through a 1-year internship after completing a 14-week training course. The program, launched in 2023, offers hands-on learning and community engagement at local sites (such as the Western Kentucky Botanical Garden). The Owensboro Times
- ➤ Today, the OCTC Foundation received a $7,000 grant from Dollar General Literacy Foundation to aid adult literacy programs in Daviess, Hancock, McLean, and Ohio counties + fuel broader education efforts as part of a nearly $16 million donation campaign. The Owensboro Times

- ➤ Apollo Head Coach Stephen Julian adjusted the lineup by moving Tyler Hall to fourth, helping the team win 13-0 over Hancock County and return to the 3rd Region Championship for the first time since 2018 + they now prepare to face a Daviess County opponent. The Owensboro Times
- ➤ Apollo (led by Ty Lillpop, who struck out 13) advanced to the 3rd Region Championship after beating McLean County 14-0, while Owensboro Catholic lost 3-0 to Meade County. The Owensboro Times
