- ➤ Owensboro will host the Hemmings Great Race stop on Veterans Boulevard on Tuesday, June 24th at 4:30 p.m.—120 antique automobiles and a free rally spanning 2,300 miles with 17 city stops are set to draw local fans. 44 News
- ➤ The Senior Community Center of Owensboro Daviess County announced it received a $9,600 grant from the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels to buy vehicles for its Meals on Wheels program — the grant will support a dedicated fleet so delivery drivers do not have to use their own cars. 44 News

- ➤ Louisville lawyer Jeremy Winton and producer Kristi Kilday opened Kentucky Sound Stage in Owensboro as part of a state plan to bring more movies to Kentucky—filmmakers will receive up to a 35% tax credit on in-state production costs starting July 1. The program is capped at $75 million a year and is expected to boost local film jobs and business. WDRB

- ➤ Javier Moreno-Garibaldi, 38—an illegal immigrant from Mexico—pled guilty to trafficking over 70,000 fentanyl pills and was sentenced to 5 1/2 years in federal prison followed by two years of supervised release after his arrest at a Holiday Inn in Evansville on September 4. TriStateHomepage.com

- ➤ Senior centers in the GRADD region earned Veteran-Friendly Senior Center certificates after a training session led by DAIL and state officials—this certification lets staff better connect veterans and their families with local services.
